Dr. Ali Alkola​

Dr. Ali Alkola was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq. He earned his dental degree in Baghdad in 2007 and worked with the United States Army Corps of Engineers in Iraq. In 2010, Dr. Alkola immigrated to Houston, Texas, which became his home away from home. He began working as a dental assistant, and in 2014 was accepted into the University of Illinois Dental School at Chicago on an advanced placement track. During his time in Chicago, Dr. Alkola was inducted as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary dental society. Dr. Alkola graduated in 2016 with honors. Upon graduation, Dr. Alkola returned to Houston, where he met his wife, Amy. He worked as a general dentist for three years before moving to New York City to complete his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Harlem Hospital.

Get to Know
Dr. Alkola is passionate about giving back, including providing pro bono dental care in Malawi. Outside of practicing Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Alkola enjoys cooking, traveling, and playing superheroes with his daughter.
